My first homespun yarn

 I finished my very first skein of yarn!

I have spun off and on again over the years but with only one wheel and limited fiber it would always be picked up and finished by another. So I am quite excited to hold my first skein in my hands! This is to finish my Felix Cardigan I started at the beginning of this year but ran out of yarn to do the rubbing. So I knew I would spin some for it to add to the piece. It just took me until now to do so! The yarn for the bulk of the cardigan was a gift from a friend that spun parts of the yarn herself and parts her friends spun. So spinning my own to finish just felt right! Now the spinning bug has got me and I have already started spinning more yarn!

I spun all of that yarn yesterday and was making good progress today but when I was ready to spin the second spool of one ply I found I had misplaced it. Hopefully I can find the spool soon! Otherwise I’ll have to occupy myself with reading, knitting or crocheting until then! Horrors!😂
